Greetings from the darkest time of the year here, in the Northern hemisphere. Darkness reigns at its height.
Trees are dreaming. Fungi and flowers cocooning in the underworld. Remaining birds are speaking in subdued tones.
We, humans, are not much different than the wild creatures in how darkness metamorphoses us.
It plays on our ‘darkness receptors‘ penetrating us through the eyes. Firmly directing us to rest, dream, hibernate.
It calls us into the void of mystery, that can feel like longing, loss of orientation, or pain that has its roots in places and times not of the present.
Resisting will only dissipate precious energy.
So, why not surrender to darkness, as the force that will find its way into our bodies and souls. Through the thickest armour.
It’s what this exploration is about.
We are not saying darkness is easy. Or there are ways to always find positives in those dark caves.
Instead exploring the mighty primordial force with respect and curiosity. As rich space beyond clear definitions.
What are you learning about darkness?

Let it flow,
